Hyung Seok Kim Assistant Professor

Hyung Seok Kim is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Graduate School of Science, Technology, and Policy at KAIST. He is currently a Consultant to the Research Department at Bank of Korea and serves as an Affiliated Professor at the College of Business. His research focuses on business cycles, financial crises, monetary policy and environmental macroeconomics.

Prior to joining the School, Hyung Seok Kim was an assistant professor of economics at the College of Business of the KAIST. He also served as an assistant professor of economics at Sogang University.

Hyung Seok Kim graduated from the College of Business Administration at Seoul National University summa cum laude. He received an M.Sc. in applied mathematics from Brown University (United States) and an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University (United States).
